Accuracy, concentration and holding your nerve is all important during archery.
These pictures are from the first night of the outdoor season for the Inverclyde and Largs archers who put these skills to the test. It is target driven in every sense of the word!
On a sunny evening, the archers took to Darroch Park in Gourock and had a night of fun shooting. The outdoor season will last up until September and there will be group competitions and prizes throughout the season.
Both clubs are always happy to hear from new members and anyone interested should message their facebook page.
With five coaches as part of the Largs Archery Club, they can provide coaching for advanced archers and new archers alike.
Members range in age from as young 10 to over 60 and you can either come and shoot as a ‘social’ archer or join their small group of competitive archers.
Members have the opportunity to work towards FITA awards and compete in the Ayrshire League
