Largs’ very own chef and entrepreneur, Faisal Rahman, who is behind the Chef's Eye restaurant in Nelson Street, is to make an appearance on STV 2’s ‘Live at Five’ show this Friday.

Invited on to the show as guest chef by STV bosses, Faisal will represent the now annual Largs Food Fest, which was created and is run by Explore Largs BID.

No stranger to the media, Faisal is a regular contributor to Clyde Life Magazine with his amazing recipes which tantalise the taste buds with an explosion of traditional flavours and eastern spices.

“I’m really proud to represent my home town and our fantastic food festival on TV”, said Faisal.

“STV2 has set me the challenge of creating and cooking a meal for under ten pounds, that has to be full of colour and flavour.”

He continued: “I’ll be running the BBQ at the Largs Food Fest, which is to be staged on the Promenade this Bank Holiday weekend, and I want to give a flavour of the event to the viewers.

“This week I’ve been creating new spicy marinades for the food I will be serving. My food is all about flavour and presentation, all of which make food fantastic!

“Whether I’m creating a menu for my restaurant, for a party or even for STV2, my food has to be of the highest quality and without a chip in sight!”

If you want to see what our very own TV chef from Largs’ Chefs Eye will be creating, tune into STV2’s ‘Live at Five’ at 5pm on Friday May 26. Then go along to the Largs Food Fest to enjoy Faisal’s food for yourself.

STV2 is available on Freeview, online and via Sky and Virgin. The service is also available online via the STV Player.
