Concerned members of the community have helped gain signs to warn walkers and dog-owners of nesting swans at Aubery in Largs.
Signs were erected on Tuesday at both ends of Aubery alerting visitors to the area to be mindful of the swan on the shore, close to the pedestrian walkway. Concerns had been raised by members of the public on the Largs People facebook page.
The signs, which were provided by Largs Printing Company free of charge, state 'Keep noise to a minimum and keep dogs on a lead.
"If you suspect that one or both of the swans is injured or there is a serious problem at the nest site, please contact the SSPCA on 03000 999 999."
Resident Caroline Le Good Morgan said: "Thanks to Largs Printers for printing the signs for free and to Scott Penny for mounting them."
