It is first foot forward for the RNLI May Day sponsored welly walk fundraiser on Monday May 29.

There will also be a series of stalls and games centred around the lifeboat station with fun for all the family.

The RNLI fundraising committee are organising sponsored welly walks as part of the fun day, starting at 11am.

There will be a fun walk for toddlers to Aubrey and for adults to the Largs Sailing Club where there will be free water, tea and coffee. Participants need to register—for long legs £2.00, and for little legs £1.00--at the Lifeboat Station in time for the muster at 11.30am. The lifeboat will be out on the slipway, and there will be stalls and games, including a tombola, craft and card stalls, throwing coins into a welly, and other games for everyone to join in. And this will be a great opportunity to see the newly refitted souvenir shop which will be open from 10.30am.

Cathy Holgate of Largs RNLI Fundraising committee said:“But as well as having some fun, we want to raise lots of money by getting as many people as possible to be sponsored, so get your friends, relatives, neighbours, colleagues and bosses to sponsor you!”
