The young dancers at the recent show 'Once Upon a Time' put on a terrific show at Barrfields Theatre recently.

Karen Aitchison started the dance school in Largs an amazing 44 years ago, teaching ballet to RAD exam level as well as tap and jazz.

The big annual show was a great hit with the parents, and as you can see from Charlie Gilmour's photographs, the youngsters enjoyed a great time at the production.

Karen Aitchison School of Dancing holds weekly classes in a range of dancing styles at St Columba's Parish Church. Royal Academy of Dance standard ballet is taught to exam level, with tap and modern dancing taught too. All are welcome to join the classes regardless of age or ability.

'Once Upon a Time' centred on a a little girl’s journey through this big storybook into different fairytale worlds where she’s trying to save the happy endings, including parts of 'Snow White,' 'Cinderella' 'Sleeping Beauty' and 'Peter and the Wolf'.
