Morrisons supermarket in Largs is supporting 'Armed Forces Day'.

From Monday 19th to Sunday 25th June, Morrisons colleagues in the supermarket’s Pie Shop will be baking British Chunky Steak Pies, where a donation of 25p per pie will go towards Walking With The Wounded.

The Chunky Steak Pies will be freshly baked and sold from the store's Pie Shop counter. They are made with 100% prime British beef contained within Morrisons secret recipe short crust butter pasty. The pies will cost £1 each or £1.90 for two. A total of 25p for every product sold will be donated by Morrisons to the 'Walking With The Wounded' charity.

Morrisons stores with a café will also be offering a free hot drink in their cafés for serving military personnel and veterans. The free hot drink will be on offer for seven days (Monday 19th to Sunday 25th June ) during café opening hours. To claim their free hot drink, serving military personnel and veterans simply need to present their Defence Privilege Card at the cafe.

A Morrisons spokesman said: “We’re proud to support Armed Forces Day and to thank serving military personnel and veterans for all that they have done for our country. We hope that the money raised will help Walking With The Wounded to provide vulnerable veterans’ independence through employment.”

Armed Forces Day is on Saturday June 24.
