Local MSP Jamie Greene is due to meet ScotRail officials in the next two weeks to discuss the important issue of parking at stations.

Although the recent ScotRail satisfaction survey did show improvements, it also highlighted customer dissatisfaction with car parking facilities at some stations.

Mr Greene is meeting ScotRail officials to discuss their new parking strategy.

Jamie Greene MSP commented: “Credit where credit is due, the recent survey showed that there were improvements however, parking is still a major issue for so many people who have to use the train every day. Having good access to parking is almost as important as having access to high-quality, modern trains. This has been an issue with stations in Ayrshire and I’m keen to work towards getting a better deal for the local community.

“I’ll be raising my concerns with ScotRail and suggesting improvements to their plan so we can deliver a much better deal for Ayrshire and the rest of Scotland. It’s only right that hard-working Ayrshire families are afforded a decent rail deal.”
