The Largs Classic Car show was the bigger and better than last year, and proved to be a hit with visitors.

The highlight of the day was the public vote for ‘Best Car in Show’, which was won by local man Cairns Galbraith of Fairlie, with his 1970 Rover P5B Coupe; one of the world’s first ever automatic cars, with three automatic gears.

Largs Car Fest 2017 attracted thousands to see this prestigious event staged on Largs promenade this last weekend. Organised by Explore Largs BID, the day attracted over 80 classic vehicles in all shapes and sizes from tiny speed trikes to MGs, Morris Minors, and Minis. Even a vintage fire engine parked up on the Prom.
