St.Columba's Experience presents The Clydeside Singers supported by The Conservatoire Operatic Ensemble on Friday August 18.

The Inverclyde based community singing group was established in 2012 under the musical direction of the Mary N Alan Greig, and will be performing at St Columba's Parish Church.

The award winning group received the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (MBE for groups) June 2016, Voluntary Arts Scotland Epic Award Shortlisted Finalists May 2015 and Elspeth Riddell Trophy for Community Achievement June 2015

Last year, the Clydeside Singers were at the Tontine Hotel in Greenock to hear the surprise announcement that they had achieved the highest award for volunteering (Queen's Award for Voluntary Service).

The award was given for their outstanding commitment to voluntary work providing music therapy whilst singing for fun.

Tickets priced £8 are available from the Heritage centre, Best Fruit Company at 10 Tron Place, Linda in the Church office, Dorothy Belch, Robert Jamieson or John Lewis.

This concert follows the very successful packed audience that attended the Glasgow Phoenix Choir accompanied by the Oban Gaelic Choir.
