The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have praised the quick actions of the bus driver during Saturday's blaze.
Emergency services were alerted at 1.30pm on Saturday, August 12 to reports of a bus on fire on the A760 Largs to Kilbirnie road.
Firefighters used powerful water jets to extinguish the fire.
Ayrshire Local Senior Officer James Scott said: “We responded quickly to this incident and brought it to a safe and swift conclusion and I am particularly pleased to learn that no one was injured on this occasion.
"I commend the actions of the driver and our firefighters for ensuring the continued safety of the public and, of course, our partners who assisted.”
