P1 children have been measuring lenghth using non-standard and standard units. They have been measuring quantities and following instructions in order to make 'Apple Crumble' using apples grown on our school grounds. Children have ben listening to the story of 'The Creator' (Genesis 1) Children have been learning initial sounds and starting to blend sounds together to create simple V-C and C-V-C words
P2 Primary 2 have been enjoying their 'Superheroes' topic. we have used this as a stimulus to discuss rights and responsibilities within the class. Every child has had the opportunity to create their own unique superhero and they have written some fantastic stories about their adventure. We will be learning how to create comic strips and putting these together to create a class comic.
P3 have been extending tending their addition and subtraction skills. We have been practicing writing a recount of something that has happened using our 'best day' for inspiration. Children have started looking at the importance of water in our lives and are looking forward to learning more in practical experiments.
