A planned Save Millport Pier boat protest on Saturday may be blown off course on Saturday due to heavy winds forecast.
In a message in the official campaign facebook site, it states: "Good morning from a very grey windy day in Millport.
"Unfortunately it doesn't look as if the weather is going to improve and very strong winds are being forecast for Saturday midday.
"Safety of crews and boats has to the the deciding factor in this and skippers need to make the decision on whether they will attend Saturday's muster or not.
"At the moment the plans are for the beach side of things to go ahead as planned.
"Please keep checking on Facebook Save Millport Pier for updates.
"Equinoctial storms are to be expected this time of year but I really hope they hold off until Sunday!"
