The armistice and remembrance parade, organised by the Royal British Legion, takes place this weekend with various commemorative events taking place in Largs and Millport.

In Largs, on Sunday 12th November, all organisations and members of the public should gather in Crawford Street at 9.20am

The parade is due to march off by 9.35am down Main Street to the Clark Memorial Church, Bath Street, for the Remembrance Service beginning at 10.15am.

The Dedication is to be held at the War Memorial at around 11.20am

Following the Royal British Legion Scotland, those who wish to lay a wreath or Poppy Cross are more than welcome to do so.

The parade is to return to Crawford Street by 11.45am.

On Saturday 11th November, Members of the Legion will conduct a Dedication at approximately 11am to all those lost at sea by casting a wreath from the Cal-Mac Ferry.

Any member of the public wishing to attend please meet at the pier at 10.30am.

* Millport: Saturday November 11 - A short march from the Royal British Legion to the war memorial for a short act of remembrance and two minute silence at 11am. Sunday 12 November - A march from the top of Cardiff Street to the War Memorial for the wreath laying ceremony at 11am.

* In Fairlie, the Remembrance Service begins at Fairlie Parish Church at 9.45am with a wreath laying afterwards at the village war memorial.

* In Inverkip, the Remembrance church service at the Parish Church begins at 10.50am. After the service, the uniformed organisations will lead a parade to the War Memorial for a short act of remembrance.

* In West Kilbride, the Remembrance church service begins at 10.30am at the Parish Church.
