P1, P2, & P3 have been talking about animal rescue and the need to care for animals. They had a visit from Sally, an SSPCA officer who answered many questions relating to dogs and cats. On Wednesday all classes celebrated French Week by performing French songs at assembly. Following our assembly parents/carers were invited to visit classes and join in with some French activities. We finished our week with a visit from the police who discussed ‘Stranger Danger’. This week Oliver (P1) helped to write the class chat.

P4 have been learning about food chains and how animals and plants rely on each other for food. We have also been investigating the characteristics of animals that are predators and those that are prey.

P5 have enjoyed using all the new food vocabulary we have been learning in French to create our own French café menus. We think they are ‘magnifique’! We shared our learning with our families and friends at our French Assembly on Wednesday afternoon.

P6 had a very interesting trip to New Lanark World Heritage as part of our Victorians topic. We learned about life at the mill and how Robert Own made a huge impact on improving the lives of all the workers.

P7 have been learning more about Arran and all thoroughly enjoying their new class novel, The Graveyard Book’ by Neil Gaiman. They are looking forward to going back in time to learn about Transport.
