There is an opportunity for community groups and voluntary organisations to apply for grants from £250 to £1000 from North Ayrshire's Nurturing Excellence in Communities Fund.
New organisations can apply for a start-up grant of up to £250, gala days, festivals, events can apply for a grant of up to £500 and youth groups/organisations can apply for a grant of up to £1000
organisations putting together a package for funding from different sources.
The grants scheme is open to any properly constituted community group or voluntary organisation active in the local community.
The funding can go towards organising local community engagement events, accessing professional advisory services and technical expertise in the undertaking of feasibility studies, business plans and tenders as preparation for community led funding bids and asset transfers.
The funds can also go towards 'developing local action plans'.
