Friday's Scotland v England veteran football clash in Largs has been cancelled.
Both countries had been due to meet again on a football field this Friday at Inverclyde Sports Centre, with Barrfields on stand-by if Inverclyde was still snowbound.
Scotland were set to include Largs Thistle legend George Wall who regularly features for the national over 50s team. Local man Preston Glover was set to be referee.
However, at 10pm on Thursday, George confirmed that the match had had to be put off.
Earlier in the day, the England team were still intending to travel to Scotland for the game, but their hopes were dashed after their flights were cancelled due to the adverse conditions being brought about by The Beast from the East.
Scotland regularly play against England, Northern Ireland, Wales and the side includes a number of ex-junior players and during recent years.
