Largs Academy will remain closed on Friday, as well as other local schools and early year classes at Skelmorlie, Fairlie, Largs Primary and Cumbrae due to the severe winter weather conditions.
All junior football games this weekend have been cancelled including Shettleston v Largs, as has the Scotland v England veterans game due for Inverclyde Sports Centre.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre at Largs will remain closed until Monday 5 March.
Stagecoach 585 buses are running between Ayr and Greenock but have decided to only go as far as Barrs Cottage in greenock due to hazardous road conditions, and will be reviewed throughout the day
The Beast from the East has produced severe wintry conditions across Scotland, including Largs and Fairlie.
Our photographer Charlie Gilmour has been out and about and captured some of the wintry scenes in the area, whilst schoolchildren have been enjoying the opportunity for a spot of sledging at Broomfields.
Volunteers at Skelmorlie managed to clear the snow off the road so the local fire station could attend call outs.
And some hardy souls even took to skis to get in and around town.
