1st Largs BB have been very busy since the start of the year with lots of events and competitions taking place.

The Company Section Battalion Football League is now complete with our team finishing in 3rd place. Six Company boys also attended their Building Your Skills Course toward their President's Badge, C.S. Scripture Knowledge competition has also taken place and we await the results. The Battalion Anchor Boy Fun Day arranged by Mrs Lamont was held in Irvine Royal Academy recently with 88 boys attending and all had great fun getting involved in four different activities.

Last weekend the Junior Section Footballers were in action again at Almswall Road playing fields in Kilwinning for the final of their League and we were delighted when our 'A' team won the League with the 'B' team finishing in 6th place. on Saturday 10th March our C.S. will take part in the next Ten Pin Bowling League games at Saltcoats and the Junior Section will be at Kilwinning for the John Brown Football competition.

Last Tuesday evening our National Badminton 'A' Team played 25th Stirling team at Inverclyde and after a very close competition we were delighted when our team won 4-2 to secure their place once again in the Final of the British National competition which we are hosting this year in April and will be held at Inverclyde Sports Centre. This will be the 8th year in a row 1st Largs BB have reached the British Finals, Well Done Boys and John Kent for all the training. Competitions coming up are Figure Marching, Drill, Mime/Drama/ Dodgeball & Davie Cooper Cup so still really busy before Easter. Our Annual Church Parade for Juniors & Company will be held in Irvine on Sunday afternoon 25th March where it is hoped all will attend. Also on 24th March, our Parent's & Friends Committee will be holding their "Daffodil Tea" in Dunn Memorial Hall so keep the date in your diary.
