A woman passenger who took ill on a cruise ship at it approached Largs had to be evacuated and taken to hospital.
The holiday traveller took unwell on board, and was treated by an onboard doctor on the 'Mein Schiff 3'.
The GP accompanied her as she was transferred via a pilot vessel operating in the Clyde, which proceeded to Largs Yacht Haven.
The coastguard rescue team were called shortly after 8.30pm to assist.
A spokesman for the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team said: "The team responded immediately and upon arrival, the female passenger had been safely brought ashore and was in the care of paramedics. The team spoke with paramedics and confirmed that no further Coastguard assistance was required with the passenger being conveyed to hospital."
The Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to those in need at the coast and beyond.
