There was disruption to the trains on a recent Saturday evening after an unusual incident involving a woman using the toilet facility onboard.
The incident happened on 19 April.
The ScotRail website informed customers: "The 21:52 Largs to Glasgow Central due 22:54 has been cancelled. This is due to passengers causing a disturbance on a train."
Inspector Colin Convery explained: "We were called to deal with a drunk man who had entered the toilet of the train. A woman was within toilet. The man was unaware and was in real need of toilet facilities.
"It was nothing criminal but clearly had an impact on rail services - as at first it may have presented a far more serious incident."
