Police revealed that a man was slashed on the face during an incident in Largs Town Centre last month.
The matter was raised during the recent police report at the recent Largs Community Council meeting.
It was reported that a 23 year old man was held in custody following the incident which happened in Townhead Close, outside a local night spot.
Community councillor Margaret Woods, who sits on the policing committee at Largs Community Council, said that she had raised concerns with the police, and that she was told that the incident involved out of towners.
Inspector Colin Convery told the 'News': "We have been working with, and will continue to work with the management team at Fiddlers. An appropriate policing plan will be put in place to reflect the event, to support the community and the venue."
