A local man has appeared on petition at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in connection with an alleged stabbing in Nelson Street, Largs on New Years Day. Alexander Johnstone, 50, from Lindsay Crescent made no plea or declaration and was released on bail. The 20 year old local victim received stitches to the neck following the incident, and attended Alexandria Hospital in Paisley.
