Stone hurled at car in Largs

A teenage yob could have caused a serious accident after he threw a stone at the driver's window of a passing car.

A Largs driver was passing a group of young people near the roundabout at Morrison's supermarket, when a teen carried out the shocking act which resulted in the side window being smashed..

Police have confirmed that a 17 year old male youth has been charged in connection with culpable and reckless conduct. Community police officer Alan Hill said: "The driver was ok; he was just a bit shaken up. The driver's side window was smashed in the incident. The driver recognised the person who threw the stone and reported the matter to the police."
