Thief caught on film

Police managed to snare a 29 year old man in connection with a theft from a hotel room after searching through CCTV footage.
The incident happened at the Willowbank Hotel in Largs at 9.15pm last Tuesday. The accused had entered a bedroom and stole contents from within including a handbag which included a Gameboy and a purse.
The victim, a 43 year old woman from Glasgow, reported the matter to police after cancelling her bank cards upon realising her property had gone missing.
A police spokesman said: "It was three days after the theft that the matter was reported. The police then attended the hotel and viewed the CCTV footage which showed a male going into the bedroom. From the CCTV footage, a 29 year old man of no fixed abode was identified as being the culprit, and was arrested for theft and detained for court."
