The Snail Trail Gala Day hosted at Inverclyde Sports Centre was a fantastic success, say organisers.
A Largs family are embarking on an audacious charity car and caravanning trek across Europe taking them from Largs to Greece - raising funds for two noble causes in the process, SANDS (supporting anyone affected by the loss of a baby) and Cancer Research UK.
Andrew Boyle and ten year old son Drew are heading on this remarkable journey "The Snail Trail" clocking up over 2000 miles on the round trip.

Mum Vanda along with friends and family will wave them off with a fond farewell from Douglas Street this Saturday with a piper.
With the help of Inverclyde Sports Centre, last Sunday's gala day featured music, a football tournament and barbecue with all funds raised going towards both charities.
As well as a soak the teacher competition, there was beat the keeper and book stalls  while a host of auction items are going to go on sale on eBay. Thanks go to teachers Miss Loose and Miss Stark from Kelburn Primary for being sponged!
Five teams entered the football competition with Inverclyde beating the Lounge Lizards in the final. Other teams which took part were Room for Improvement, the Seaview Sharks and the aptly named 'Oxygen' made up of older players who needed some during the two hour football fest!
Around two hundred people turned out to support the Gala Day. Organisers would like to thank everybody who took part in the fun and games, and Inverclyde Sports Centre for helping to host the inaugural event. A total of £2000 was raised on the day for the charities.
