Independent takes on the politicians
Independent candidate Ian Murdoch has been around all the local towns and villages in his quest for a seat on North Ayrshire Council.
In a letter to the 'News' this week he said:
"As in Largs, Fairlie and Skelmorlie some of the local people in Millport pointed out various issues which are common throughout the ward such as, poor condition of roads and pavements, poor public toilet facilities and dog fouling. These issues and many others are the reason I am standing as an Independent councilor.
"Over the years I have been involved in various schemes and campaigns to try and achieve what I thought was the best way forward for the North Coast. "
Two pages of views and readers' letters are in the Largs & Millport Weekly News of April 25.
