An ambitious �2.4 million re-development of the Kelburn Estate is set to go ahead including a new caravan park - but Lord Glasgow has told of his regret that the castle's colourful graffiti mural will also be removed as part of the plan.

The controversial urban art design will be taken down after engineers discovered that the cement coating on which it is painted is causing damage to the original 13th century castle walls.
