Tributes continued to pour in for popular former Largs Academy geography teacher Derek Addie who recently passed away.
Former pupils voiced tributes to the inspirational local man.
Ale Nardini said: “One of the good guys; genuine, inspirational, what a storyteller, a great loss. Sure I got the love of travel from him, will be sorely missed.” John Heighton said: “He was a top guy and one of the few genuine inspirational teachers.” Colin Marshall revealed: “As a former pupil it was strange to meet your old teacher in the pub, but I remember a friend and I meeting him and finding out about his life before school. Mr Addie was a navigator with the RAF and flew on a Shackleton maritime patrol aircraft during the Cold War." Full story in this week's Largs News.
