Police are warning local citizens to be vigilant after an elderly woman had her credit cards physically stolen from within Morrison’s supermarket.

The incident happened at 2.50pm on Wednesday 2 April within the Irvine Road store when the 81 year old fell victim. Police have issued a description of two men who they believe may be responsible for the cowardly act. One is aged 35, heavy build, with dark brown hair, wearing a dark tie, and a suit. The other man was dressed in similar fashion, aged 32-33, but with slimmer build. If you can help police, contact the non emergency phone number of ‘101’.

A registration plate was stolen from a Skoda vehicle in Woodlands Street in Millport between Friday 4 and Sunday 6 April. Another registration plate was taken from a vehicle nearby the scene, at Kelburn Street, but both plates were subsequently recovered by police.

Police have appealed for information after an outbuilding in Meadowfoot Road, West Kilbride, was broken into and gardening equipment and golf clubs were stolen. The raid took place during the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 45 year old man from South Ayrshire has been reported for speeding on the Main Road in Fairlie at 11.45pm on Friday April 4, as police roadside checks continue throughout the day.

A 24 year old man has fallen foul of the law in Lawfield Avenue, West Kilbride, and putting members of the public into a state of ‘fear and alarm’, according to police reports.
