Two friends from Largs were last tracked in Ukraine as they drive 10,000 miles from the UK to Mongolia in a 1999 Nissan Micra car for cancer research.

The team started with three - Duncan McDowell, Lewis Smith and James McKillop - who were pictured at the start of the rally with about 200 other entrants two weekends ago. Duncan’s sister Fiona and dad Crawford went down to Battersea Park in London to give the team a send off.

The trio have been through France, Belgium, Germany, and the Czech Republic, before Lewis, the son of former Clark Memorial Church minister Stephen Smith, returned home as planned, allowing Duncan and James to continue on to Hungary, Romania, Moldova. The pair were last tracked on Monday in Ukraine heading for the Russian border. Tracking to see where the team are now at tinycc.com/ek0cjx.
