Having a summer clear-out? Blythswood Care is keen to receive donations of goods for our charity shops at their collection lorry which calls on Thursday 14th August at Clark Memorial Church, Largs from 2-2.30pm The monthly collection lorry accepts clothing, shoes, books, small items of furniture, bric-a-brac and also tinned food for foodbanks in Scotland. The goods are brought to the Blythswood depot at Hillington and distributed to the charity’s shops or prepared for sending to partner organisations in Eastern Europe, who are working to help extremely poor families and individuals. Blythswood Care Shoe Box Appeal 2014 leaflets and posters are now available from the collection lorry . Shoeboxes containing toiletries, clothes, sweets, toys and other everyday items will be distributed in orphanages, schools, hospitals, care homes and gypsy villages in Eastern Europe and Pakistan.
