Some hardy and very enthusiastic RNLI supporters braved the atrocious weather with driving rain and wind to raise money through a Fun Walk from the Lifeboat Station along the Prom to the Pencil and back during a recent Saturday morning.
The event has already raised over £1500 and the sponsorship money is still coming in.
Cathy Holgate from the Largs Fundraising Branch said: “Who would have thought as we all huddled in front of the lifeboat in our waterproofs, hidden by our hoods to help keep us dry, that we would have made what we did.
“We are so grateful to those fantastic walkers who once again have shown what support we always get from our members and thank them all – and their sponsors.”
