The Largs Viking Festival had one of its biggest parades ever as the sun shone for the opening day of the ten days event.
There was entertainment all weekend - including aerobatics on the seafront - as hundreds enjoyed the festivities.
This week in addition to the fun fair and the Viking Village, recreating 13th century life, there will be continental markets on the north promenade.
