The Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce it has teamed up with Nardini’s who will produce a ‘secret recipe’ purple ice cream for the ‘Cream of Ayrshire’ fundraising event in October.

The kind-hearted staff at Nardini’s will donate £1 from every sale of a two-scoop tub of their purple ice cream to the Ayrshire Hospice’s ‘Go Purple Day.’ Purple ice cream Chamber CEO Val Russell is delighted that Nardini’s have pledged their support. She said: “We are so happy that Nardini’s have got involved and have created their very own purple ice cream to help raise money for the Ayrshire Hospice.

“I am sure it will be delicious and I can’t wait to try it!” The ‘Cream of Ayrshire’ event is the final event of Business Week at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum between 1pm and 4pm on Friday 7th October. The event will see the area’s ice cream makers battle it out for the title of ‘Cream of Ayrshire’ in a fun way to raise money for the Ayrshire Hospice.

The National Trust for Scotland will host this event which includes a tour of the Burns Birthplace Museum. Tickets cost £15 and £5 from every booking will be donated to the Hospice.

David Equi of Nardini’s added: “We think this is a great idea to raise awareness of the Ayrshire Hospice’s Go Purple Day and look forward to taking part in what will be a fun way to raise money for the Ayrshire Hospice.

Go Purple Day “For every two-scoop tub sold of our specially made purple ice cream we will be donating £1 to Go Purple Day.

“We’re delighted to get involved in this great cause, in particularly the 25th anniversary year. Anyone who lives or works in Ayrshire appreciates the support given both at the Hospice and at home for those requiring palliative care and their families.” Nardini’s purple ice cream is available to buy now from their Largs seafront store.
