Explore Largs (BID) have been issuing improvement grants to businesses in the town, amongst those to benefit is Rodger Bunting of The Moorings Knitwear at 11 Main Street Largs.

Rodger takes up the story: “I applied for a grant towards new shop fittings to enhance the premises.” “I put the money towards a brand new display for my Barbour wear and to redesign the counter.

“I now have my own specially designed point of sale for this iconic clothing range and the chance to build an even better working relationship with Barbour.” Determined to support local businesses, Rodger commissioned Largs cabinet maker John Wilson to create and make these bespoke items for his shop.

Rodger continued: “This is a very good thing for Largs businesses, we have to pay the BID Levy, but by receiving this grant it has cancelled out what I have to pay and improved the look of my business.” “The whole process was very simple and John Hamilton, the manager for Explore Largs, was very helpful. I would certainly recommend other businesses should apply for Explore Largs BID grants. It’s not a one off either, so I know there will be more financial help available for my business when I need it.” If you have a business in Largs, are a BID levy payer and would like to apply for an Explore Largs BID grant to improve your business premises simple email info@explorelargs.com for further information.
