Rumours that Lidl may be moving to Largs have proved unfounded so far.
A number of social media sites, and local rumours, have suggested that the supermarket chain are set to move to a current site in Largs. However, LIDL have not yet responded to enquiries by the ‘News’.
A spokesperson for North Ayrshire Council said: “The Council can confirm that Lidl has not submitted a planning application. The council is also unaware of any pre-application discussions regarding any such proposal.”
