Police are investigating an assault and a vandalism of public toilets in Largs, near the Pencil.

The door of the toilets were forced at around 9.30pm on Saturday 18 October, causing around £200 damage.

An appeal has gone out for witnesses after two teens were assaulted in the same area.

A 16 year old girl and a 17 year old boy were both attacked when sitting at the shelter at 11pm on Friday 17 October.

The victims were unable to leave much of a description as it happened quite suddenly, and it appeared to be unprovoked.

No medical attention was necessary, although the girl suffered a slight graze to her nose, and the boy had bruising to the left of his head.

Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

And in an unusual vandalism in Largs at 1pm on the afternoon of Tuesday 14 October, somebody scratched the initials M.R on to a table in the The Bean and Leaf restaurant, causing £100 of damage.
