THE SKY sparkled on Saturday night in Largs with a fantastic display of fireworks.
Despite doubts over whether the show would go ahead, the display was a huge hit with spectators.
The 20 minute display had a ‘super hero’ theme, and the stunning fireworks were choreographed to appropriate theme tunes, injecting some extra fun into the evening.
Although it had been raining for most of the day, hundreds of people, young and old, gathered together to see the dazzling sights.
The annual event was organised by Largs Round Table, which saw some extra funding this year from a variety of local organisations to ensure it could go ahead.
Chairman of the Round Table, Scott McGregor, said: “The fireworks did not disappoint and were up to very high standards.
“Despite the bad weather everyone had a great time, and the night was 100% incident free.” He continued: “The night of fantastic entertainment also prevented people from using fireworks in their gardens, which can be unsafe.”
