A concerned member of the public has written to the Largs and Millport News voicing fears about public access to Largs Promenade where a new Co-op is being built.
She said: "The contractors at the new Co-op at the promenade near the harbour are using the prom as a car park with as many as 14 vehicles parked there with all the attending dangers for the public.
"On Tuesday, the contractors even taped the promenade off to prevent public access, which they are unlikely to have permission to do as this is totally a public right of way.
"The rest of us have to park and then walk to work, surely these workers can be told to do the same or park in the adjacent public car park!
"I have informed the council without success so far, so some publicity would not do any harm. "
