Cyclist Alan Wylie has called for improvements on the cycle path between Fairlie and Largs Yacht Haven.
In a letter to this week's Largs and Millport Weekly News, Mr Wylie stated; "Is the path now a 4x4 driving course? This is what it looked like when I took a photo this week."
The cycle path between Fairlie and Largs marina opened around five years ago, and was recently extended to Fairlie Bowling Club.
There are further plans to build a cycle and pedestrian plan along the seafront in Fairlie.
