A 60 year old taxi driver in Largs was badly beaten up after an alleged assault took place on Sunday. Police have confirmed that 54 year old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the shock incident which occurred at 8.20pm.
The victim was released from Inverclyde Royal Hospital later in the evening.
The taxi driver was Robert Howes, 60, who lives in Fairlie.
