Police are investigating a road rage incident involving an Audi car and a group of cyclists.

The incident happened at around midday on Saturday 29 November, starting at the traffic lights at the Haylie Brae.

The driver of the Audi continually swerved in front of the cyclists and slammed on his brakes, and carried on the process repeatedly until the roundabout at Clydeport, Hunterston.

Inspector Michael Oates said: “We have a positive line of enquiry - it would appear that the driver concerned took umbrage about the cyclist being on the road.”
