The year kicked off with the Largs Gaelic Choir's ever popular annual Burns Supper, held in the Clark Memorial Church Hall.

In March the choir gave a concert for the Dunoon Branch of An Commun Gaildhealach followed by a concert in Beith singing with Maggie MacInnes in aid of Beith Orr Park Neighbourhood Watch. April was a very special highlight for the choir when they performed in collaboration with the Largs Players at Barrfields in the excellent production of "The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil" by John McGrath. June saw the choir competing at the Oban Provincial MOD where they gained second place in both the mixed choir and the puirt-a-beul competitions. Afterwards the choir hosted a very lively ceilidh with members of the Oban and Taynuilt choirs. In August the choir took part in the Opening Ceremony of the Viking Festival singing on the outdoor stage. The Royal National MOD was held in October in Inverness and the choir competed in the Puirt-a-beul and Margarat Duncan Memorial competitions To find out what the choir is doing in 2015 an Open Evening will take place on Tuesday 13th January at 7.30pm in St Columba's Episcopal Church Hall, Aubrey Crescent, Largs. All are very welcome to come along and listen to singing in both Gaelic and Scots while enjoying some refreshments! See you there!
