A Largs hairdressing stylist has shown that she is a cut above after being selected to take part with a prestigious hairstyling company in London Fashion Week.
Grace Bowman, owner of Boutique Spa, has joined the KMS Californian editorial team, and is taking part in four training sessions at the Goldwell Academy in London.
Grace headed to the English capital last week to take part in the first of the four sessions, and said: “It’s going to be so inspiring, and great for the team and salon, bringing London fashion to Largs Vegas!
“I entered the competition, and six have been chosen from across Britain to do session styling. Fashion shows, editorial shoots etc.
“It is such an amazing opportunity, and I am delighted to have been selected. I went down on Wednesday and did the training with KMS products - analysing all the products, what they contain and how the company was formed, and more knowledge on the products they offer.
“We are next going to the Alexander McQueen exhibition on 7 April in London, and then seeing a guest speaker Sam Burnett about his career in hairdressing. It is superb to be bringing the forefront of fashion all the way to Largs, and then I am off to the London Fashion Week in September.” Grace was based in Elements hairdressing salon for 15 years before branching out in her own salon last year, with the Boutique Spa based in the shopping units near Largs Pierhead.
