It’s a little early for spring cleaning, but if you are having a clear out and looking for another home for your unwanted goods, do look out for the Blythswood Care Collection at the beginning of March.

The Blythswood Care monthly collections will take place on Friday 6 March at Largs.

The lorry will call at Clark Memorial Church from 11-11.30am.

The collection lorry accepts small items of furniture, bric a brac, donated clothing, shoes, books, and foodstuffs.

Knitted hats, gloves and scarves are also welcome. All donated items are processed by Blythswood Care.

Most are sold in Blythswood Care shops but some may be sent abroad, such as knitted goods. Food in tins or packets is distributed through foodbanks operated by Blythswood. For further information, please go to the website, blythswood.org or contact Hillington depot on 0141 882 0585.

Please note that although the driver will have a smaller Blythswood Care lorry than in the past, there is as much need for donated goods as ever and it is hoped that supporters will make the most of the new arrangements to fill up the lorry and ensure that Blythswood Care can continue to benefit vulnerable children and adults in Europe, Asia and Africa, and to operate foodbanks and a rehabilitation centre in Scotland.
