A Largs couple have successfully scaled the heights of the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro for two important charities close to their hearts.
Both Thomas, 27, and Kirsty Craddock, 26, arrived home safely after a successful climb to the summit.
Standing at 5895m (19341 feet) Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak, and the tallest free standing mountain in the world.
The couple prepared last summer by ‘bagging’ a total of 15 Munros.
The selected charities were Cystic Fibrosis and Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Thomas’ brother Alan died of cystic fibrosis at the age of 17. The couple are aiming to raise a total of £3000 for both charities.
Thomas, a former dux at Largs Academy, explained: “The biggest challenge was feeling the altitute you don’t know how you react to it."
If anyone would still like to give anything - however small - this can be donated at Largs Post Office or online at uk.virginmoneygiving. com/CraddocksDoKilimanjaro
