Unearthing the talents and abilities of our local gardeners, flower arrangers, handi-crafters, bakers, children and schools: everyone plays their part in this annual event.

In spite of our very changeable weather a wide variety of exhibits are expected – a feast of colour and splendour indeed! So join in for a display of a wide variety of pot plants which includes fuchsias and begonias, hanging baskets, tubs; cut flowers; vegetables; handicrafts including baking and preserves.

The junior section is a must see with miniature gardens, edible necklaces, flower arrangements, animals made out of fruit and vegetables and handicrafts – you will be amazed at the extent of their creativity and imagination.

Largs Flower Club will be holding their very popular workshops for adults and children from 10am-3.30pm.

Largs Viking Festival Committee will also be in attendance to give information about upcoming Viking Festival.

There will be displays and information from Fairlie Community Garden, Skelmorlie Art Club and North Ayrshire Council.

There will also be the ever popular raffle, tombola, plant stall and tearoom with home baking. Delicious home made soup and bread will be served between 12noon and 2pm.

Presentation of prizes and raffle will be held at 4pm.

With something for everyone, Largs Flower Show will not disappoint – so come along and enjoy!

Largs and District Horticultural Society hosts the show in the Dunn Memorial Hall, St John’s Church, Bath Street, Largs on Saturday 22 August from 9.30am–4.30pm. Entry by donation at the door. Separate charge for the tearoom.
