The road between Largs and Kilbirnie is to be closed daily from 9.30am until 3.30pm from Monday 7 September until Thursday 17 September, excluding weekends, for carriageway resurfacing.
North Ayrshire Council state that a diversion will be in place in relation to the works.
The roadworks are taking place between the A78 in Largs, and the Viewpoint car park.
And from Monday 31 August, there is also going to be extensive roadworks at Wemyss Bay, with traffic lights in place, lasting for six weeks, to allow for power cables to be upgraded.
