Nardini's Manager Neil Johnston accepts a flag from Viking Festival Directors. The festival gifted the flag to the world-famous ice-cream parlour. It will be flown during this year's Viking festival which starts on Saturday and continues for eight full days of events and activities.

The Viking Festival's official parade starts at 2pm on Saturday from Morrison's supermarket, and opening ceremony at 2.30pm, carried out by Pauline Hunter of Hunteston, Chief Clan of Hunter.

Lots of cookery demonstrations are planned due to generous support from the Scottish Year of Food and Drink 2015. On 29/30 August, the West College Scotland will be doing chocolate demonstrations from 12 Noon until 4 pm including truffle making, tempering chocolate, moulding chocolate, etc.
