Slick suits and bow-ties were the fashion in a picture dating back to 1979 of the Largs Masonic Club enjoying a dinner dance at the Marine and Curlinghall Hotel in Largs.

We are fast approaching 2600 followers on the Largs News facebook feed which includes archive photos uploaded on a regular basis.

Julie Weir said: "That's my mum and dad front row in the middle!"

Carol Lynne Dorman said: "My mum and dad are on the third row right at end on the left. It makes a change when it's a picture of the parents instead of us as kids on the Largs and Millport Facebook page!"

Janice Cochrane added: "My mum and dad, and aunt and uncle, are in the picture - that's a good one."

Michelle McAloon added: "My mum looks so young!"

Aveluy Grant said: "Willie and Ann Murdoch on the front row."

Joseph Vertin, who now lives in Washington, said: "I remember almost everyone. Great photo! Great dances. I went to a couple of the dances around the same time frame."
